ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

The Trinity mushroom strain represents one of the most fascinating developments in modern Psilocybe cubensis breeding. Created by renowned mycologist Doma Nunzio of MagicMyco in 2017, Trinity combines the legendary genetics of three powerhouse varieties: Penis Envy, Aztec God, and Tidal Wave.
This carefully engineered hybrid showcases the meticulous artistry of contemporary mushroom genetics, offering researchers a unique specimen that bridges the characteristics of its distinguished parent strains. The Trinity lineage demonstrates the sophisticated breeding techniques possible within the Psilocybe cubensis species complex.

ORIGIN & HISTORY

Trinity’s creation story reads like a mycological epic. Nunzio’s breeding program began with the ambitious goal of creating a “three-way” hybrid that would combine the best characteristics of each parent strain:
Penis Envy – The legendary albino variety known for its distinctive morphology and robust spore production
Aztec God – A stabilized cultivar derived from wild specimens collected near Paso de Cortes, Mexico
Tidal Wave – Nunzio’s own previous creation, itself a Golden Teacher hybrid known for remarkable potency
The breeding process involved sophisticated backcrossing techniques using monocultures on antibiotic agar medium. The resulting lineage (B+ x PE x PE) x AzG x PE created a specimen so vigorous that Nunzio famously described how “the mycelium would explode on grains and substrates.”
The name “Trinity” carries dual significance – representing both the Holy Trinity in Christian theology and the code name for the first atomic bomb test in 1945, reflecting the strain’s explosive growth characteristics.

Trinity represents a sophisticated three-way hybrid combining Penis Envy, Aztec God, and Tidal Wave genetics. This unique lineage creates spores with exceptional viability and fascinating morphological characteristics for research. The strain demonstrates hybrid vigor while maintaining the classic P. cubensis spore features that make it ideal for microscopy studies.
When stored properly at room temperature in the original sealed packaging, Trinity spore swabs maintain excellent viability for 2+ years. The robust genetics inherited from the parent strains contribute to exceptional longevity. We recommend using within the first year for optimal research results, though many researchers report success well beyond this timeframe.
Spore swabs offer several advantages for microscopy research: easier handling, reduced contamination risk, and more convenient storage. While prints provide larger quantities, swabs give you precisely the amount needed for multiple research sessions without waste. Trinity swabs are particularly well-suited for detailed morphological studies due to the concentrated spore collection method.
Absolutely! Trinity spore swabs are excellent for educational applications including university mycology courses, biology demonstrations, and research training. The clear spore morphology and reliable viability make them ideal teaching specimens. Many educators appreciate the convenience and professional presentation of our swab format for classroom use.
