To examine these spores under a microscope, start by sanitizing the slide and cover slip with rubbing alcohol. Next, place a small drop of solution on the slide and cover with the slip. Press the slip down to spread the spores evenly. You are now ready to view the spores through the microscope.

To store your syringe, we recommend leaving it in a place where it is not going to be disturbed. A cool, dark environment such as a refrigerator is an ideal storage spot. If left in these conditions, a spore syringe could remain viable for up to a year, if not longer. A liquid culture should be used within 6 months.
